Pittsburgh District Team Day FAQ's

The fourth annual Pittsburgh District Team Day will be held on Saturday, June 3rd 2023 at Mt. Chestnut Retreat Center. Team Day is a joint convention for our District NMI, NYI, and NDI auxiliaries.

The FAQ sections below have been created to help answer questions about the Team Day event, and the voting process which will take place for each of our district conventions.

Who may attend Team Day?

Team Day is open to Ex-officio and elected local church delegates who will be voting in either the NMI, NYI, or NDI convention may attend Team Day. Adults and youth not voting in District conventions are encouraged to attend as well to take part in a number of workshop and networking opportunities.

I've received communication from my local church that I am to be a delegate - what are my next steps?

Each local church on the Pittsburgh District will submit all delegate information to the via a specific form. Once your delegate information is confirmed you will receive an email with additional details and a link to the online registration.

What is the deadline for delegate submission by local churches?

The deadline for delegate submission by local church pastors is May 20th 2022. Submissions after this date can not be received.

What is the deadline for delegate registration?

All delegates must complete registration by May 29th 2022.

How will I know when to vote?

Voting for the Pittsburgh District NMI, NYI and NDI conventions will be 100% electronic. Once you arrive at Mt. Chestnut Retreat Center please “check-in” at the back of the tabernacle.  You will only receive an email with a link to the ballot enabling you to vote after you’ve checked in.

What software is the Pittsburgh District using for balloting / voting?

The Pittsburgh District will be using Election Runner to conduct our electronic voting for all District Conventions.

Will there be childcare for delegates with children?

Unfortunately, we are unable to provide childcare for this event. We kindly ask that delegates arrange for childcare if they require it.

Will the District be providing lunch?

Lunch will be provided by Chef Mark Cooper and the Mt. Chestnut Retreat Center staff. Lunch will be served during the breakout session time — between 12:00 – 2:30 PM. The cost is $12, and all delegates will have an opportunity to pay for lunch during the registration process. A limited number of lunch tickets will be available for purchase during the event check-in.

What type of device will I need to vote?

Voting can be done via any device capable of connecting to the internet. This includes any Chrome, IOS or Windows based laptop; Android, or IOS based tablet; Android or IOS based smartphone.

The Election Runner website is accessible via the Chrome, Safari, and Edge browsers.

Do I need to be on the internet to vote?

Your device must be able to connect to the Mt. Chestnut Retreat Center’s WIFI network, or a cellular based network to receive the Election Runner email, and access the Election Runner website.

How do I receive support / help for the Election Runner website?

What is the process for Alternate Delegates?

Local Church pastors must to request the “seating” of alternates prior to the start of District Convention Once requested alternates will need to be approved by the auxiliary secretary.
