District Monthly Prayer – May

Rev. Daniel Eddings   -

“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” Psalm 147:3(NIV)

Make the verse personal

I believe, LORD, that You heal the brokenhearted and bind up their wounds. My heart feels broken over [speak your heart break]. I have been wounded by [speak the name or situation that has wounded your spirit]. You are Jehovah Rapha, the God that heals. Bring healing to my body, mind, and spirit. Amen.

Spend time with those in your household

Using the word HEALING, make an acronym of the attributes of God as Healer. Example:

H as compassion on people
E asy to talk to about what’s bothering us
A
L
I
N
G

Brainstorm ideas of how God might use you to be His hands and feet to put this verse into action. Choose one or more of those ideas to implement before the end of the month.

Living in Community and sharing the truth that Jesus Is For All the World

Pray the prayer above in #1 corporately if possible. Shifting the focus from you personally to your community of faith first, then your extended community.

I believe, LORD, that You heal the brokenhearted and bind up their wounds. Our hearts are broken over [speak the heart break your church or community may have suffered]. We have been wounded by [speak the names or situations that have wounded the spirit of your congregation and/or community]. You are Jehovah Rapha, the God that heals. Bring healing to our congregations and communities. Amen.
